FAQ’s about ReRoot Online

What do I need to do video sessions?

Any device with an internet connection, microphone and camera will work. You will receive a link that you will click on at your session time. The link may prompt you to download an app. You should think about a space that is quiet and that you won’t be interrupted.

How long are video session?

Video sessions are typically 50 minutes.

Isn’t it better to be in person?

Not exactly. Some people prefer in person sessions, however, increasing the accessibility to session, having space that you are comfortable, as well as the comfort that can happen with a bit of distance (check out online disinhibition effect if you’d like,) all are benefits to online sessions.

Can kids use video sessions?

It depends on the kid and the modality that works best for them. Not every kid is ready to sit and talk to a screen for that long. Some older kids find it very helpful as an in-between sessions check-in. Video sessions can be a great option for parent coaching!
